Operations Manager

Peter plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of Thurrock Foodbank’s day–to–day operations. As Operations Manager, he works closely with volunteers, partner organisations, and local supporters to maintain an efficient and compassionate service. Through his leadership and dedication, Peter helps ensure that the foodbank continues to provide reliable, dignified support to individuals and families facing hardship.

Logistics Manager

As Logistics Manager, she coordinates the collection, storage, and distribution of food donations, ensuring that every parcel reaches those in need on time. Ceri manages the warehouse operations, oversees delivery schedules, and works closely with volunteers to keep processes running safely and efficiently. Her careful planning and dedication make sure that the food bank can respond quickly to demand and provide support to the local community.

Referrals and Business Liaisons Manager

As Referrals and Business Manager, Kate liaises with local businesses, schools, and referral agencies to coordinate support, build partnerships, and identify families and individuals in need. She works to connect people with additional help, such as advice services, financial support, and community programs, ensuring that recipients receive holistic assistance. Through her dedication, Kate ensures that support goes beyond just food.

As our Befriender, Andy spends time with clients, offering a friendly ear, encouragement, and a sense of community during what can often be challenging times. He helps people feel welcome, reduces feelings of isolation, and provides emotional support alongside practical help. By building trusting relationships and creating a compassionate environment, Andy plays a key role in creating a supportive space where people feel valued and cared for.

Helen is the backbone of Thurrock Foodbank’s administrative operations, ensuring that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Helen manages essential records, handles correspondence, and supports the team with day-to-day organisational tasks. Rachel is dedicated to helping ensure that every donation is maximised, allowing the food bank to continue providing essential food and support to those in need.
