Last week ScreenshotScreenshotour volunteers Kathy, Patricia, Carol and Sandra went along to The Hathaway Academy for presentations for the First Give programme. Students from all the year 8 classes had chosen a local cause to research, plan a project and present their work and one cause was to receive £1,000. The students who presented on our behalf researched Thurrock Foodbank and Trussell Trust, held a collection of food on our behalf and created the presentation. Our volunteers were asked to go along, hear the presentation and say how we would use the £1,000 if we won it. The presentations were all brilliant but I’m delighted to say WE WON!! Thank you to all the year 8 students and the 4 boys who presented our cause so well and the judges for choosing us to receive this wonderful donation 💚
