We are now in the season of the 40 days of Lent leading up to Easter. During this time many people traditionally give up something like chocolates or biscuits for Lent.
We are asking you to help us mark Lent by donating food to help residents in crisis in Thurrock. It’s similar to our advent appeal, an item is suggested for each of the days of Lent but you are welcome to donate as much or as little as you feel able.
This is a great opportunity to get together with friends or work colleagues to put the 40 items together. Our food stocks are very low so every tin and packet donated makes a difference.
