If you’re a Christian who’s passionate about social justice, mobilising the church to serve the poor and empowering volunteers to make a difference in their community, then we want to hear from you.
Established in 2012, Thurrock Foodbank is a major player in the distribution of food to those in need throughout Thurrock. Part of the Trussell Trust network, we distributed 5372 parcels to local people facing crisis in 2018/2019. Thurrock Foodbank is a lifeline for struggling individuals and families across Thurrock during severe times of hardship. Over the past 7 years, the scale of what we do has grown significantly. We are looking for a highly organised, strategic and compassionate individual to lead Thurrock Foodbank through the next stage of its development.
Key areas for growth include the training and retention of volunteers, maintaining a steady stream of donations in terms of both food and finance, and the exploration of “more than food” initiatives, ultimately moving our clients away from crisis. If you think you could be the next Operations Manager we’d like to invite you to request an application pack by e-mailing:-

Essential Information:
Closing date : 5pm Friday 16th August 19

Thurrock Foodbank is part of Thurrock Christian Fellowship – which is an equal opportunities and Living Wage employer.
