We will be holding a three day collection in Tescos Lakeside on Thursday 30th November, Friday 1 December and Saturday 2 December.
We would like to make this the best collection ever and collect in excess of a tonne of food. This may seem like a rather high target but we generally send out approx 800 kgs of food a week to our 10 distribution centres around the borough, so a tonne of food doesnt last that long.
With the arrival of full rollout of Universal Credit at the end of October we are looking at a possible increase usage of at least 16%, so we need to ensure that we keep our stock of food topped up.
